Solution Graphics

I only have a few of my mosaic fish photos here. More to come later.

I really enjoy making the Mosaic Redfish series. I try to make them look more realistic than abstract.

These are made to be displayed indoors, but I'd be more than happy to make them for you suitable to be displayed outside.

Will be on display at The Tallahassee Animal Shelter 10/12/2007-1/18/2007

for the 'Bark and Wine - Art for Animals' fundraiser.

Some of my "Redfish"

3/4" MDF, Stained Glass, Glass bead for eyes, metalic paint on grout, oil based paint on back side.

(I now only use MDF unless the piece is for outdoors)

Some, like the 1st, have a foil underlament to give a shinier "scale like" effect. Not something you notice, but the effect is definately dramatic under some types of glass.

I've been using flat marbles for the eyes and painting them, but I want them to look more real. In the future I'm going to be ordering eyes from a taxidermist.

"Iridescent Fish"

Okay, so I have no idea what kind of fish this is... but he looks awesome, right down to his deep pink mouth.

The colors are incredible when the light plays of this fish.
